Please read these rules and terms carefully before submitting your film.
By submitting your film to compete in the Rabat-Comedy International Film Festival, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you will be bound by these rules and terms.
All films that are not in English must be subtitled in English. Subtitles need to be embedded in the film. If you also have for your film subtitles in French and/or in Arabic, you can also submit them with your film in SRT file form.
The submitted films must belong exclusively to the comedy genre.
Submitted short films must be no less than 3 minutes and no more than 29 minutes long.
Submitted feature films must be no less than 70 minutes.
Submitted Films must have been completed after January 1, 2019.
Submitted films must be accessible through the Festhome platform in order to be seen by the jury members.
The deadline for film submission is April 30 th, 2022 at 11:59 PM.
Selected films will be notified around May 20th, 2022.
No postal and mail submissions are accepted.
During the festival, selected films can be screened more than once and are scheduled at the discretion of the festival staff.
Selected films must be digitally transferred to the festival in a Full HD screening format, by June 1st 2022. Furthermore, 6 stills from the film, a director’s head shot photo, the film poster, a synopsis and film information must also be transferred to the festival by the same time.
Participants grant the right to use excerpts of the films selected for promotional purposes.
By submitting their film, participants confirm their rights on their film. It is their responsibility to obtain all legal permissions for any copyrighted material that may be used in their film.
The rules, terms and conditions above may be subject to change at the discretion of the festival commission which also has the right to make decisions on matters not provided for by these rules.
