Please read these rules and terms carefully before submitting your movie.
By submitting your film to compete in the Rabat-Comedy International Film Festival, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you will be bound by these rules and terms.
All films that are not in English must be subtitled in English. Subtittles need to be embedded in the film. If you also have for your film subtittles in French and/or in Arabic, please submit with your film in SRT files.
The submitted films must belong exclusively to the comedy genre.
Submitted short films must be no less than 5 minutes and no more than 25 minutes long.
Submitted Films must have been completed after January 1, 2018.
No first class status is required.
Submitted films must be accessible through internet platform in order to be seen by the film selection committee members.
The deadline for film submission is April 17th , 2021 at 11:59 PM.
Accepted films will be notified around May 15th , 2021.
No postal and mail submissions are accepted.
Selected films can be screened more than once and are scheduled at the discretion of festival staff.
Selected films must be digitally transferred to the festival in an Full HD screening format, by June 1st 2021. Furthermore, 6 stills from the film, a director's head shot photo, the film poster, a synopsis and film information must also be transferred to the festival at the same time (Please chech the festival website for details).
Participants grant the right to use excerpts of the films submitted and accepted, for promotional purposes.
By submitting their film, participants confirm their rights on their film. It is their responsibility to obtain all legal permissions for any copyrighted material that may be used in the film.
The rules, terms and conditions above may be subject to change at the discretion of the festival commission which also has the right to make decisions on matters not provided for by these rules.
